What is hybrid midwifery care?
Hybrid midwifery care builds a bridge between the midwifery model of care and the medical world. Recognizing that home birth with a midwife may not be available to or desired by everyone, hybrid midwifery care is a wonderful option for families who are planning a hospital birth but desire holistic, personalized care from a midwife.
By offering hybrid services, Wildwood Midwifery seeks to address the gaps in standard obstetric/pediatric care that can often lead to a lack of informed decision making during the birth & postpartum processes, unnecessary interventions, postpartum depression, and breastfeeding issues.
What kinds of hybrid services are available?
The midwives at Wildwood Midwifery are currently offering postpartum hybrid midwifery care to support the needs of families who are giving birth in the hospital but desire personalized, home-based care from a midwife in the postpartum period for parent & baby. Please see details below.
